Summer Missionary Opportunities

Cedine is looking for some great folks who have a heart for ministry and some skill in the following areas:

Archery, Biking, Fishing, Canoeing, Horses, Riflery, Lifeguards/Water Safety Instructors Arts & Crafts Instructors Program Assistants, Music, Youth Speakers, Snack Shop Manager, Counselors, Office Workers or Leaders In Training (Ages 14-17.

• Our Philosophy and Goals
  • We believe ministering to youth at Cedine is missionary work. We are endeavoring to minister to African-Americans of which there are 33.6 million in the U.S. they are certainly a part of "All the World." Mark 16:15 Our purpose is to make disciples. Discipling is a more mature Christian leading a less mature Christian into a more mature relationship with Jesus. We believe the summer experience will help you mature while you are helping campers mature. Please pray and consider the possibility of sharing in this ministry.
• Why spend the Summer at Cedine?
  • BECAUSE WE OFFER YOU...
    1. TRAINING; During the second week of June training is offered in camp counseling, programming, and physical education.
    2. OPPORTUNITY; To invest your summer with eternal dividends promised. Matthew 6:20-21 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
    3. EXPERIENCE; With Christian camping for all age groups in a cross-cultural setting.
    4. FINANCES; Because this is a mission program, the camp payments are set to cover only food, lodging, and other basic benefits, but no salaries. Summer staff over 18 years old serving all summer may receive $120 for each week served from the summer staff fund. Those who have experience at Cedine and those who are specialized activity leaders may receive more. This fund is basically composed of gifts from churches and individuals interested in this ministry to African-Americans. If more is needed you may raise missionary support. Cedine will help you get a prayer card and letter printed.
